contemporary art started with modernity. the invention of the photographic machine made shift. art gave up to create photographic images or recreate a real image of the outer world to favor a view of the inner world.

the photographic machine was able to recreate the reality out of us. so it was no longer necessary to recreate reality via a painting that would actually take longer to create then a photographic image.

the artist could now concentrate himself to his inner world. recreate images of his personal inner world. till then only described by words through various artists. now realized in a image. visible for us all.

she shift did not came immediatly or suddenly after the invention of the photographic machine.

the century before contemporary art made a shift from real image recreation to subjective recreations of the outerworld for almost several generations.

we call their art as impressions the artists as impressionists. it is a recreation of the personal perception of the world by the artists. they made the first step that would lead to contemporary art in the change of the 19th to the 20th century.

the third important influence in creation contemporary art was psychology. experimental psychology or better physical psychology and their discovery of the psychology of perception created the philosophical legislation for the shift of art of reality to art of psychology. the fashionable theories of psychoanalysis at that age did their part for an environment that created the contemporary art.

recreation of nature is not necessary not a artform anymore since a photographic machine can create a much better image of the real world they argued.

so they created cubic images. geometric figures out of real images. created real images out of geometric figures. reduced the complexity of nature to some geometric figures. they added their visual world. the visual world of the inner world to the image. so they made a new artform.

in this perception they were shortsighted. first of all real images, photographic images of the outer world are a relative new movement in art. the renaissance for example had real photographic images in christian art. the first time in christian art real realizations of the world with the real dimensions and realations of the visualized images. despite that the paintings were not photographic images as we would see a painting of the impressionists. the paintings were symbolic. sybolic as the byzantine art is. we have a real lion a real person a real whatever and every image stands for something. it is not a photographic realization. a lion for example in a renaissance painting means pride. so they symbol or the symbols of these paintins carry the painting. additional to that the geometrical composition of the paintings takes the second rank. mostly composed in a triangle. respresenting the trinity.

so we see on two examples subjectivity and geometry were issues in paintings before contemporary art created or discovered it for themselfes. we had them both already in paintings years before.

the third issue search for psychological truth is not new also. even if it was covered in theology in christian times. both movements sought for truth inner truth. discovery of the inner world.

so what really brought contemporary art. that´s the question it is. first of all our brief review showed that it has no rights to look down to the academic art of the generations before them. since they add nothing new to art.

the main question is the beginning of art does it begin with religion creation of images of god does it begin with a expression of art in terms of a desire of art an instict that drives humans to art does it begin with recreation of images of the world experiences of their live to fix it for further generations begun with stories they told their children and then to keep for eternity paint on the walls of the caves in southern france does it begin with technology creating goods for the daily life and then the disre to create them beyond their functionality to an object of beauty where the craftsmen of the goods get in contest to top themselfs or their competition in order to create something more beautiful more pleasing or does it begin with an desire for expression of sexual desire where unused sexual desire is used to create beauty within the hands of the creator or is it the work of male artist with an pragnancy envy having a female desire that cannot pleased due to biological necessities and than the desire of creation an object body is done with their hands and minds instead of their body like woman do when they create and be creative in pregnancy regarding creating a child in their body be it as it be the oldest art productions are paintings in caves showing scenes of hunting and some figures of hunters or gods in the paintings and figurines of possible gods and female figures in terracotta also products of daily life designed beyond the functionality of that object to an additional function of display of beauty the question is have this objects of daily life a real functional function or have they been created for another circumstances like processions on religious ceremonies or funerals however art and religion where in early times always close together where does the disire to create something beautiful come from beginning with poetry and novels you can say it begun with telling tales of heroes and kings and stories of the past moral tales to enforce the community to a moral life that will fit the demands of that society a hunting and gathering society had other demands than a settled society like in mesopotamie or a shephard society and probably they choosed the one who can tell the tales the most plastic and most entertaining way and praised him to his art who can tell the story bes in the way the society demands the story to be told as a moral tale as a tale of heroes of boldness and curage and other things the desire of telling of beauty in a prosaic way was first not essential possibly visual telling exitement and melody regarding possible singing of the tales where the beginning of the beautiful story telling but where does the desire of music come from when prosa is originated from music and musical tales where does the beauty of music come from and in it´s shadow the beauty of oral tale story telling prosa and lyrics poetry after that we have a desire of beauty or beautiful mind created in us seeing the world not only in technical ways and in ways of functionality and power but in ways of beauty that again turns back to crating beautiful things with our hands and mouth regarding art work and it is sexuality birds sing deers and lions roar to impress females and males animals show their bodiely beauty to beat competition so the forms of beauty esthetic and art is originated in sexual categories in a desire to create beautiy to show beauty to impress through beauty and a mind in love has a certain way of showing the world and seeing the world in beauty he escapes the categories of technology and power play and we often say paint the world in pink ignores certain realities overestemates others when sexuality is the origin of art and many artwork is in early societies of religious nature what connection has religion art and sexuality not only religion enterferes in sexuality to control and rule the sexuality religious practises are often of religous nature and the relation to the deus is often of sexual nature and neither god nor the believer is pure in heart
